Description

The equip 119445 DisplayPort 1.4 Active Optical Cable (AOC) is a high-performance cable used for transmitting digital video signals over long distances. Unlike copper cables, which have limitations on how far they can transmit signals without signal degradation, DisplayPort 1.4 AOC can transmit data up to 100 meters without the need for additional signal boosters or repeaters.

The cable is designed to support the DisplayPort 1.4 standard, which offers high bandwidth and supports resolutions up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz. DisplayPort 1.4 AOC also supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Display Stream Compression (DSC), which allows for even higher resolutions and refresh rates.

The active component of the cable is a microchip embedded in the connector that converts the electrical signals to optical signals, which are then transmitted over the optical fiber. The cable is also immune to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI), making it ideal for use in environments with high levels of electromagnetic interference.
