Description

The CAT6A IDC 4PPoE patch cable is suitable for use in plenum spaces and raised floors due to its LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) cable jacket. The cable is designed for 4PPoE / PoE++ 100W applications and is ideal for use between high power network switches and security cameras or access points. The patch cable has full copper 24AWG wires and 50µ gold-plated RJ45 contacts attached via IDC and complies with the international standard ANSI/TIA-568.2-D.

Suitable for 100W 4PPoE
The ACT 4PPoE type 4 patch cables are suitable for use in applications requiring 100W, such as a security camera or access point. Only one patch cord is required to provide power and network connectivity. Ideal for use between PoE network switches and security cameras or access points.

Insulation Displacement Contacts (IDC)
The connectors on this cable assembly are attached using the IDC method, whereas standard patch cords mostly use Insulation Piercing Contacts (IPC). IDC is the most durable and stable option.

With IDC, the wires make optimum electrical contact through the V-shaped clamp. This results in lower resistance compared to IPC. When patch cables are used in a 4PPoE 100W PoE environment, the electrical resistance must be as low as possible. Using patch cords with IDC connectors ensures a stable and long-lasting network connection in 4PPoE 100W (type 4) applications.

LSZH cable sheath, solid copper wires and gold-plated contacts
The use of a LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) cable jacket reduces the risk of high concentrations of toxic gases in case the cable is damaged by fire or short circuit. Ideal for use in plenum spaces and raised access floors.

The ACT S/FTP patch cable has full copper 24AWG wires and 50µ gold-plated RJ45 contacts and complies with the international standard ANSI/TIA-568.2-D.
