Description
The ACT U/FTP CAT8 datacenter slimline patch cables ensure a max. bandwidth of 2000MHz (40Gbit). The patch cables have full copper 30 AWG wires and 50u gold-plated RJ45 contacts. All cables comply with international standards and are 100% tested. CAT8 U/FTP slimline datacenter ethernet cables are smaller in diameter (5mm vs 7.4mm) than our regular CAT8 patch cords. The bending radius is lower in comparison with regular patch cords. This results in a better airflow in the server rack/network cabinet. The application of a LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) cable jacket reduces the risk of high concentrations of toxic gases in case the cable is damaged due to fire or short circuit. Although, ISO/IEC and TIA standards describe the use of patch cords between 22 and 28 AWG, it is possible to use 30 AWG patch cables. This results in a higher attenuation, particularly at higher frequencies.
