This adapter by Delock can be used to extract the audio signal from an HDMI transmission. While the video signal is displayed on a TV or monitor, the audio signal can be sent digital (S/PDIF) or analogue (stereo) to other devices, such as headphones or a surround receiver.

Small and practical
The device can be connected directly to the monitor or the TV, the short cable fits easily into side or recessed HDMI ports. The source, e.g. a TV streaming stick, can be connected to the input port.
